About Hayden

Hayden Claisse

Hayden’s professional, academic & family experiences combine to uniquely equip him to provide significant value to his clients

During the last four years, Hayden established/led three Vistage Groups: CEO, Key Executive, and Trusted Advisor.  Members benefited significantly from these confidential, personal advisory boards and Hayden’s 1-to-1 coaching.

Also during these four years, Hayden participated in monthly Vistage LA Chair Group meetings in which other Chairs are confidential advisors to one another about being more effective Chairs and human beings.  Thus they practiced what they preached to their Vistage Members.

For most of 2006 Hayden was a business consultant for a manufacturer of small plastic optical lenses for medical applications. Significant improvements in all functional areas were made, new business development greatly improved, and new technology for manufacturing was identified and cost justified to the holding company.

Over the 12 years prior to 2006, Hayden successfully led, as President, three manufacturing companies in high technology areas.  For all three the organizations were rebuilt, “world class” systems installed, and profitability improved — each over a 4 year period.  All three were put back onto a profitable growth track as intended.

Prior to that, Hayden held general management and operations roles with Avery Dennison over 12 years in three divisions (revenues in millions: $25, $50, and $250) producing pressure sensitive adhesive labels and other office products.  Hayden championed Avery’s first maquiladora in Juarez, Mexico, which led the way for similar major expansions in Mexico during the 1990s.

Hayden developed his consulting and communications skills over six years with McKinsey & Company, during which he guided clients in reducing costs, improving operations, and developing business strategies.  His clients included manufacturing & services businesses.

Hayden worked for Rohm & Haas in their Engineering Division for four years as a Process Engineer on the design and start-up of a unique continuous process for manufacturing Plexiglas in Louisville, Ky.  This provided a low-cost, high-quality process for its manufacture.

Hayden ClaisseHayden has a strong academic background: MBA, The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania; Masters, Chemical Engineering, University of Delaware; and BS, Chemical Engineering, Rockhurst University, Kansas City, Mo.

Hayden and his wife, Dianne, have three sons (all now “out of the nest” with college & graduate school degrees, all married) and two grand children.  Hayden’s home office is in San Marino, CA, where Hayden is an avid Lakers fan and has a significant passion for ocean sport fishing along the California coast and in Mexican and Hawaiian waters.
